My PUSH Promise

Earlier this week I started Chalene Johnson's 30-day PUSH challenge. This will be the 2nd time I've taken the challenge and this time, I'm actually learning more!

Today is day 5 and Chalene had us make a promise. So this is my PUSH goal Promise that I am making publicly to my family, my friends, my team and myself:

My PUSH goal is to make Diamond rank in my Beachbody business. In order to do that though, I must focus on growing my team and cultivate Emeralds. My focus needs to be on helping them achieve their success so I can have my success which will PUSH me through all my goals for the next 12 months. I promise my team, my family & myself that I WILL do whatever it takes to make that happen. Emeralds are a girls best friend…

My team: The Fit-Nut Crew.

My family: Jorie, Austin, Arron & Aidan

My Sponsor Coach: Carolyn.

Myself: Amy Leever; aka - The Fit-Nut (Wife, Mom, Friend & Coach)

Those are the people I do NOT want to disappoint by not making every effort in achieving this promise.

My promise is now public!

"Success is your destiny. You will achieve this goal."

Goals for May 2012

Something I try to do at the beginning of each month, just never thought to put it out there for the world to see. This time, I figure there will be hundreds, if not thousands, of people seeing this eventually so why not use that as my accountability. The list is just 10 of the goals for the month of May. I have other smaller, more focused goals, but those are just for me to see.

I'm wondering how many out there write down their goals and do what they need to do each day to accomplish those goals? - If you are one of those people, comment below, I'd like to hear from you.

Insightful Inspiration

No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change.
- Barbara De Angelis

Self-disciplined begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do. Simply, self-discipline enables you to think first and act afterward.
- Napoleon Hill

If we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.
- Anthony Robbins

Regrets are the tears of choices not made and of good deeds left undone.
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie

I read those quotes and thank the good Lord I made the choices I've made in the last 2-3 years. Rock bottom was a nasty place to be and if I hadn't have taken control of my own happiness, only He knows where I'd be.

I truly wish I could express enough how important it is to take a step outside the comfort zone and just take a leap of Faith. I come across so many who want a quick fix. Who can't just say: 'Why the heck not, it's only money!' They let fear hold them back from experiencing something that would change their life immensely.

I understand, I did it too. Until I had nothing left. Until I was so broken and lost, it was either death or do something different. So I leaped into the great unknown - then my Wings of Faith took over. Three years later, I'm slimmer, happier, healthier and the things I've always wanted are falling into place. No it's not easy. No it's not happening over night. It's consistency and self-discipline. It's making tiny, insignificant choices, daily that compound over time into something bigger and more meaningful. It's doing the things that many people won't do. The things that won't hurt if I don't do them, but if I do them, those things will get me one step closer to my goals. I go against the norm. I find ways to step outside the comfort zone. I'm not always perfect. I'm not always sure. But I keep doing them anyway.

I am the master of my own happiness. I am the only one who can control my actions and reactions. I don't say 'I can't' anymore, I say 'I will find a way'. I won't let a lack of money control my choices; it is just money - it comes, it goes. Why let it control you? Find a way around it. Get creative. Think outside the comfort zone. YOU have the power. YOU have the control.

That's my secret. That's how I do it. That's how I lost 50 pounds and have kept it off. That's how I've re-built my life from rock bottom - up. That's how I've become my own boss. That's how I'm creating my own destiny. I have the Will. I have the Faith. I have the Power. I have the Control - One choice, one step, one goal, one day at a time.

Will you take the leap of Faith and join me?

So Many Goals

This blog wasn't planned out so bare with me if it's seems to eb and flow without any real direction. It's off the top of my head and random.

How many goals do you have? Do you even have goals?

I ask because I have so many goals. So many things I want and need to do. So many ideas that keep springing in my head that I think - 'yeah, I wanna do that too!' - What are those goals? Here's a list and it's in no real order just tossed out by my typing fingers as they come to mind...

- Climb Mt. Scott
- Hike around Crater Lake
- Go Backpacking in the Cascades
- See Yellowstone
- Travel the world - Italy, Ireland, Greece, Australia, every tropical island there is on Earth, England, Scotland, the Scandinavian countries, Germany. Ok let's just make it a European tour! Africa, Central America, South America (I think you get the idea).
- Hike the Grand Canyon, oh and ride a Burro too!
- Restore an old farm and live happily in the country
- learn to paint, sew, can & freeze food.
- Ride a horse. Own a horse.
- Explore California
- Hike every waterfall in Oregon.
- Whitewater raft down the Rouge
- Explore the Oregon Coast
- Take an Alaskan tour
- See British Colombia
- go to college or at the very least take online college classes
- get my degree - Small business, marketing, photography, computer web-design & graphics
- start a walking club
- start a fit-club
- See and explore every National park in America
- get fitter, stronger, healthier (already working on that)
- Open The Fit-Nut nationwide
- Pose for a magazine (no not Playboy or any other smut ew geez!)
- Meet Oprah, Ellen, Kelly Ripa and all the Beachbody trainers
- Go see a play on Broadway
- Explore New York City - extensively
- Swim with dolphins
- learn to snorkel (I'm terrified of drowning!)
- own a vacation home in or around Tampa, Florida & a vacation condo in Hawaii (dream big!)
- help restore my home town of Martin, Michigan. It's my blood!
- write a book
- Shake hands with the President, any one of 'em (even Obama and I don't like him!)
- If it has to do with art or history - I want to see it, do it, learn it, touch it and explore it!
- Learn to dance; ya know Mamba, Salsa, Tango, 2-step ... I want to learn it all!
- See & photograph ever single Light House along each ocean and the Great Lakes of America
- Learn more about Astronomy. I love the stars, planets, sun and moon. Galaxies, universes... who knows what exactly is out there...I want to see it and learn about it.
- Go to Disney World
- Learn to Kick-box
- Learn to ice-skate (I hate winter and cold weather, so that will be a hard lesson to learn)
- Walk/Jog a 5k

Well that's all off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more in this world I want to see, do and learn but that'll have to be saved for another blog cuz I'm out of things to type now. I guess I better get started with these and start crossing stuff off the list huh? What are you going to do?

The Beachbody Challenge Reviews

I had the awesome pleasure of working with 8 women who took the Beachbody Challenge. These are their reviews of their experience. I wanted to share them as they are incredible. My girls did an AWESOME job and I'm so proud of each of them.

Courtney:
I lost 10 lbs and around 4 inches during my 30 day challenge.  The challenge was the perfect mix of an AWESOME workout (Insanity), Shakeology, and support…this combination is working like it never has before.

I was so surprised by the success I had during the challenge; it started a turning point in my journey and it really changed how I see myself.  I have tried to lose weight before, but never the right ways and never for the right reason.  I truly have never believed in myself and I think that is why I’ve  always failed; with the help of my challenge group and my coach, I now believe in myself and I believe in the things that I am doing.

This challenge goes beyond the 30 days, this started a lifestyle change and now I am dedicated to paying it forward…one person at a time.  Give it 30 days, I promise, it will be worth it! If I can do it, you can do it!

Beth:
I lost about 5 lbs and I lost 7 1/2 inches all over my body!  I loved having people I could check in with to see how they were doing and to discuss my frustrations and joys about my weight loss journey!  We did lots of different programs but we all had the same goals to eat better, get moving and be healthier!!  Having a Coach, like Amy, to guide us, make suggestions, and inspire us was the icing on the "shake"!  Shakeology of course:)  Execellent product would recommend to anyone and everyone.  If you are thinking about trying a challenge, JUST DO IT!!  You will thank yourself in the end!

Tamara:
I lost just under 5 lbs during my challenge. Shakeology, exerice program and the accountability are definitely a winning combination. I have tried losing weight before but never with a set plan in place or the accountability and that made all the difference for me. I didn't just lose weight but I gained energy and feel so much better about myself. The confidence it gave me is amazing and having Amy as a coach couldn't have worked out better. She is a great motivator and great inspiration.  IF anyone is thinking about making a change GO FOR IT!! What is there to lose?

Jennifer:
There are so many things that went right for me in the month challenge hosted by Amy Leever, but most of all it was the support that pushed me to lose the most weight I have ever lost in a single month; 15 lbs and nearly 12 inches! I am beyond thrilled with my results, a product of Turbo Jam and chocolate Shakeology being the winning combo for me. Turbo Jam is truly amazing! It's the funnest and most energizing work out I have ever tried. Do Turbo Jam in the morning and it pumps up the rest of your day. The Shakeology is great tasting and there are so many yummy recipes to try that the possibilities are truly endless! I would recommend Beach Body and the Beach Body products to anyone! Amy Leever was there during the entire process to give support and to answer questions and I could not be happier with her performance. She is amazing! This has been truly the life change that I needed and it never would have happened had I not met Amy. Thank you Amy and thank you Beach Body for making this one of the best months of my life and the beginning of a healthier future!

Shon:
I have been on a weight loss journey for years and nothing has touched me as much as the collaboration that was pulled together with my Shakeology team in January.  The shakes didn't quite cut it for me at first but once I found my right concoction it was to die for!  The recipes became endless once I found something that was appealing to me. That is part of my weight loss problem. I don't like just anything...I have a taste for fat! The kind of fat that hangs on to my inner thighs and denies me the success I want! However, even after not having lost any weight due to my own madness....I stayed on with the support team and am now committed again. Amy Leever has made it possible for me to stay connected to my co-challengers even after the challenge and I feel empowered.  Amy has the ability to keep the team on track when negativity was starting to appear and didn't settle for any of us feeling sorry for ourselves but rather gave us tools to move past our funk and go forward! If you don't try it you will never know the truth!

Melanie:
During this challenge I lost 5.5lbs and 12.75in. Love the combination of workout/shakeology/accountability group. Having a group to vent, celebrate, encourage, and be encouraged by makes such a difference! I love having Amy as my coach and am thankful for this great group of new friends!

Tami:
I lost 5 lbs on the program after one month. I have learned that even though I deal with chronic pain and disabilities, I can do this. My body can move, I can eat healthy, and I can be happy! I feel a little more confident in my abilities. I love the Shakeology products and want to continue with more Beachbody products. Amy, as a coach, you found a way to work and inspire a group of us. Thank you!

Rebekah:
I lost 9.5 pounds and several inches off my waist during my challenge.  The TurboJam Workouts were so fun and energizing that I actually looked forward to doing them! Now that is a first!  The chocolate Shakeology was amazing and I am being serious when I tell you that I could definitely feel a difference in my energy levels when I went without the Shake-O for a few days.  Simply amazing.  I had such a wonderful experience with the workout, shako-o and the support group, it was like nothing I'd ever experienced before.  Thanks Amy !!

I'm simply amazed by their words and it has empowered me to keep inspiring, keep educating, keep helping others achieve their health & fitness goals and keep paying it forward. If you'd like to know more about the Beachbody Challenge or anything else about Beachbody , please contact me so we can talk.

Start the Year Off Honest

It was time to get real with myself this morning. I pride myself with being as honest as I can be and give tough love to those around me looking for support. Those who count on me as their guide through their journeys need me to be honest with them, so I need to be honest with myself first.

The holidays are over (finally!). It was time to find out how much damage control I've got to take on over the next few weeks. It's not as bad as I thought, but I have 6 pounds to extinguish. Try as I did to keep from over-indulging over the holidays, I still managed to pack on 6 pounds. I know much of it is extra sodium and not "fat", but the fact is I fell off track with nutrition and fitness over the last 2-3 weeks.

Today is a new day, the start of a new year. I have new goals and a brand new outlook on life. I have everything ready to start off on the right foot and I'm ready to fight for every thing I want. Can you say the same? Are you ready to be honest and get real with yourself? Have you taken the necessary steps to start off this new year, new day, new month HEALTHY?

If nothing else; Just start the year off HONEST! Here's to a great and wonderful new beginning...

A Dose of My Own Advice

You've heard the saying "Practice what you preach". And I'm sure you catch yourself giving advice to people and then you yourself do the opposite of that advice to others. Does that sound about right?

I know this all to well. I'm a Beachbody coach. I give advice all the time to people who are looking to lose weight, feel better and look better. I started my weightloss journey a little over 2 years ago and for the most part I have been very successful. I lost 50 pounds in the first year, maintained that loss during the 2nd year. I was inspired to get healthy and have inspired others to do the same. It's been a great new lifestyle. And I really love how I feel - however, lately, I've been waning in my own motivation.

What I mean is, I've lost focus. I've lost drive. No I'm not gaining a bunch of weight back. I refuse to go back to the way I used to be. What I mean is I've lost my way...no that's not what I mean either. I'm stopped in my tracks and ran out of gas. I've stalled and don't know how to get started again. That's more like it. I know what I want to do. I know what I need to do. What I don't know is why I stopped in the first place. I don't know why I lost focus on my own personal needs.

I know this funk won't last long. The holidays are almost over, the new year is almost here. There are going to be a lot of new things going on: moving in to our new home being the hugest. I'll have plenty to keep me busy, but I am worried that with all this new stuff about to happen, I'll get lost in the shuffle. I won't be able to keep up and the anxiety and the fear will hold me back from the things I must do for myself: Eat clean, work out, train, study and continue to help those who are counting on me. Most of all, I'm scared I'll drop the ball on my home business. And my home business depends on me sticking to a healthy lifestyle.

So much to think about, plan and prepare for this new year coming. So much to worry about, pray about and the only thing I can think of at times like this is that prayer called "The Serenity Prayer".

I must remember that I am not in control of everything. I can control my actions and my reactions, but not what causes those actions and reactions. I must remember to live one moment at a time and do what I can do and not focus on what I can not do.

Therefore: I can get back on track and get back my focus. I can say no to temptations and get in a walk every day. I can eat more fruits and veggies, drink more water and say no to food I know is not nutritious. And I can trust that God will be with me every step of the way.

After all - this is what I would tell the people who ask me for advice, so why not listen to myself and take my own advice...

I Often Wonder if...

Do people actually understand what I do as a coach? Do you understand?

Coaches aren't sales people, coaches aren't marketers, coaches aren't looking to make a quick buck. I wouldn't have become a coach if any of this were true because anyone who knows me knows that's not what I'm about.

If Beachbody were a scam or one of those "get rich quick" schemes, I would have snubbed my nose at it and gone about my merry way. Instead...I learned about it. I educated myself and found out what a coach really does.

Do you want to know what a coach REALLY does?

Coaches genuinely care about helping others, they are working on themselves inside and out, everyday they see people as PEOPLE and they want to reach out to HELP them experience the positive changes that they have had. Coaches believe in their customers, believe in the products, believe in their team of coaches they build and so much more. I am so proud to say that I'm a Beachbody Coach and that my job is to support and guide people to achieve their goals for a healthier lifestyle.

This job is hard work! It's fun, it's rewarding, but it is a job. It is work.

This company is in business to end the trend of obesity and I am so thankful I found such a real & genuine opportunity to do what I love and pay it forward daily! I get messages from my customers (many of them have become great friends) thanking me for helping them lose weight,  for motivating them, inspiring them & helping them change how they feel about themselves. It is the best feeling to know I've done that for them.

Yes - my job is commissioned based and for every product I sell, I make some money. I earn a paycheck that helps feed my family and pays our bills. Important to me? - of course, but I'm not focused on making money. I truly want to help as many people as possible. I want to educate them on how living healthy can be affordable and most important, can save their lives!

The company has launched something called The Beachbody Challenge and why it's so great is that it is bringing everyone back to what really matters. People helping people change their health and keeping them on track and believing in them! Just more proof of how this company truly CARES!

Who wouldn't want to be a part of something so amazing? I hope there are more people out there who care about people in general, that they'd be willing to learn more and become a part of something so important. Would you?

Lend a hand. Help others. Achieve your own goals to health & fitness. Become financially independent while teaching others how to do the same. Become a Coach today!

Thanks for reading...
